Your adventure begins! After a drive to Londorossi Gate for registration, continue through lush rainforests, where you may spot colobus monkeys and exotic birds. You'll camp tonight at Forest Camp (2,650 m), nestled among towering trees and the sounds of the wild
Today you ascend out of the forest into heath and moorland. The vast Shira Plateau stretches before you, revealing your first full views of Kibo Peak. Camp under a canopy of stars at Shira One Camp

Hike high today—up to Lava Tower at 4,550 m—then descend into the lush Barranco Valley (3,900 m). This climb-high, sleep-low strategy is key for acclimatization. Enjoy dinner at the foot of the Barranco Wall.
Tackle the dramatic Barranco Wall and be rewarded with sweeping views of Kibo’s icy slopes. Traverse stunning alpine landscapes to reach Karanga Camp (4,000 m). Rest or opt for a short acclimatization walk
At midnight, your summit bid begins. Hike under a starlit sky toward Stella Point (5,735 m) to witness a golden sunrise. From there, push onward to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the crown of Africa. Celebrate briefly, then descend to Millennium Camp (3,800 m) for a well-earned rest.
Descend through the rainforest, where the air grows thicker and greener with every step. At Mweka Gate, you'll receive a certificate and be transported back to your lodge for a hot shower and a celebratory dinner.
